Dr. Lilian König – A doctor with a passion

I was born in Hamburg in 1967.

I completed my medical studies in Frankfurt am Main at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University. I expanded my knowledge during my studies in Germany and during internships in the specialties of orthopedics, hematology-oncology, pediatrics, internal medicine as well as gynecology.

In 1996 I received my license to practice medicine and also completed my doctorate in that year. The topic of the doctorate was: “Interaction between students and patients in anamnesis conversation – behavioral observation and analysis of conversational behavior including conscious and unconscious attitudes”.

I worked in Kerala in India in the field of gynecology and internal medicine. In the USA I worked at Loma Linda University close to Los Angeles with radiotherapy. After I graduated from medical school, I spend my internship year in Grenchen in Switzerland and at Harvard Medical School in Boston in the USA.

After working as a medical doctor in the Seligenstadt District Hospital and the St. Vinzenz Hospital in Hanau, I passed my specialist examination in September 2002.

In April 2003 I took over the practice of Dr. Volker Sieglaff in Oberursel as a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics.

Through the German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (DEGUM), I regularly certify myself as “DEGUM – Level 1” for the field of “Gynecology and Obstetrics”.

Furthermore, I regularly participate in intensive courses for special malformation diagnostics in pregnancy as well as intensive courses in breast diagnostics. These courses are DEGUM certified.

The Fetal Medicine Foundation Germany (FMF) has certified me as a physician for first trimester screening. This certification takes place annually.

Within the framework of the KV Hessen, I am certified for extended basic screening in the second trimester, for performing obstetric Doppler examinations and for mammary sonography.

For the large specialty of breast cancer, I participate in large tumor conferences and quality circles several times a year and am a DMP physician.

After many years of colposcopy experience, I completed the colposcopy diploma of the AG-CPC in 2020 and received approval from the KV Hessen for the new dysplasia consultation.

Of course, literature research as well as advanced training in cytology, hormone diagnostics and hormone therapy are also part of the regular training measures.

In order to be able to treat young girls appropriately, I have attended the special training course “Girls’ consultation hours”.
